GUIDANCE

SCHOLARSHIP NEWS
The Senator George J. Mitchell Scholarship applications are now available. Please check the Scholarship Box for a copy of the application.

Attention seniors Do your parents need help filling out the Financial Aid Form? If so, remind them that the FAFSA workshop is being sponsored by the guidance department
On Thursday, January 10th at 6:00 p.m. in the SPHS library. The Financial Aid Director from SMCC will be on hand to walk them through the process.

Athletics

There are no scheduled games today. The Hockey Team will play at USM versus Westbrook tomorrow at 8:30 PM.
The Girls Basketball Teams will host Scarborough tomorrow and the Boys Basketball Teams will play at Westbrook High School.

Congratulations to Erin Coyne, Olivia Hendry, Megan Knowland, and Kendall Morong for being elected captains of the Girls Track Team.The team defeated Marshwood, and lost to Deering on Saturday. Olivia Hendry, Annelise Donahue, and Kristen Jerome were event winners.

Music Notes

The Box office for DISNEY'S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL opens tomorrow, January 8th. Tickets are $8 for students and seniors, and $10 for adults.
Times: Monday -Friday 6:30 PM-8:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday 10 am-1 PM

Congratulation to Blake Hawley, Albie Gingrich, Jeremy Binette and Hannah Kramer for their outstanding performances yesterday in the Maine All State Jazz Festival concert at Scarborough HS.

All District I vocal students are reminded to attend the rehearsals to prepare for the January 25th festival.

CLUBS/ INTRAMURALS & GROUPS

Riot Reader will meet after school Monday and Tuesday to work on the layout. Please come by and see Ms. Price in room 108 when you are available! We'll be folding on Friday the 11th in room 108.

HEMA CLUB will meet at 2:00 in the breezeway.

Chess Anyone? Intramurals: Chess today at 2 p.m. Meet at the attendance office

Attention all members of FRENCH CLUB, LATIN CLUB, SPANISH CLUB AND ASL CLUB - It 's Jeopardy next Wednesday after school in room 113 right after school! Join your fellow club members as they compete to see which club will rule this 2008 competition! It's a great way to spend an hour, lots of fun and plenty of knowledge trivia to go around! So put on your thinking cap and we'll see you then!

There will be a Freshman Executive Class meeting Tuesday Jan. 8th at 2pm in room 220. We will be discussing forthcoming fundraisers.
