The Box office for DISNEY'S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL opens Tuesday January 8th. Tickets are $8 for students and seniors, and $10 for adults.
Times: Monday -Friday 6:30 PM-8:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday 10 am-1 PM

YEARBOOK UPDATE

Time is running out for students to order their 2008 yearbook. Please be sure to use the form mailed to you from Jostens or visit their website to order your book by January 18.
Seniors should see Mr. Hunter in the Video Classroom to pick up their pictures which they brought in for the senior section.
Club Advisors: Club pictures will be scheduled later in January. Please watch for an email detailing your club's scheduled date and time.

GUIDANCE

SCHOLARSHIP NEWS
The Senator George J. Mitchell Scholarship applications are now available. Please check the Scholarship Box for a copy of the application.

Attention seniors Do your parents need help filling out the Financial Aid Form? If so, remind them that the FAFSA workshop is being sponsored by the guidance department
On Thursday, January 10th at 6:00 p.m. in the SPHS library. The Financial Aid Director from SMCC will be on hand to walk them through the process.

Athletics

The Boys and Girls Swim and Dive Teams will host the Greely Rangers today at the SP Community Center Pool. The meet begins at 4:00 PM.

On Saturday, the Hockey Team will play versus Bonny Eagle at USM in Gorham. Game time is 3:00 PM.

Also on Saturday, the Boys Basketball Teams will host the Scarborough Red Storm in the Beal Gym. First Team plays at 10:00 AM, JV's will play at 11:30 AM and the Varsity Team is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM.

The Girls Basketball Teams will travel to Deering High School for games versus the Rams on Saturday - 4:00 First Team, 5:30 JV and 7:00 Varsity start times.

Also on Saturday, the Boys and Girls Indoor Track Teams will compete in meets versus Marshwood and Deering at the Portland EXPO. The boys meet begins at 12:15 PM and the girls meet at 5:15 PM.

Music Notes

High School Musical pit band will rehearse today from 2-4 in the band room.

CLUBS/ INTRAMURALS & GROUPS

Key Club: There will be a mandatory Food and Games meeting on Monday, Jan. 7. See you then!

Chess Anyone? Monday, Jan. 7th @ 2 p.m. Meet in the attendance office with Mrs. Hamlin and see who's the best in chess for 2008.

RIOT SQUAD: Do you have yours yet? There are new shirts arriving today and will be available by lunch time. Several games are happening this weekend, show your school spirit and support your school. Shirts are available for all students from Ms. Reardon in the lower gym.

The Debate Team will compete Saturday in a 16-team tournament at Deering H.S.

Attention all members of FRENCH CLUB, LATIN CLUB, SPANISH CLUB AND ASL CLUB - It 's Jeopardy next Wednesday after school in room 113 right after school! Join your fellow club members as they compete to see which club will rule this 2008 competition! It's a great way to spend an hour, lots of fun and plenty of knowledge trivia to go around! So put on your thinking cap and we'll see you then!

There will be a Freshman Executive Class meeting Tuesday Jan. 8th at 2pm in room 220. We will be discussing forthcoming fundraisers.
