Senior athletic captains are reminded to turn in their yearbook quotes to Mrs. Brown today; failure to do so will result in no quote being included for your sport's page in the yearbook.
Get out your dancing shoes because the WINTER BALL is quickly approaching. The semi-formal dance will be held on January 19th from 7:30-10:30 in the lower cafeteria. Tickets go on sale Monday, January 14th and can be purchased in Ms. Major's room (121) between 7:00-7:25 and after school. All students who are bringing outside visitors need to by their tickets by Wednesday, January 16th.
GUIDANCE
The National Guard will be in the Guidance Office during 3rd lunch (12:00-12:30) today
Seniors who are interested in taking a spring semester course at USM or SMCC or students who need additional credit to graduate should be aware that college classes begin January 14.
Scarborough Adult Education registration is Jan. 23 and classes begin Jan 28.
Student should see their guidance counselor ASAP for more information.

Attention seniors Do your parents need help filling out the Financial Aid Form? If so, remind them that the FAFSA workshop is being sponsored by the guidance department
On Thursday, January 10th at 6:00 p.m. in the SPHS library. The Financial Aid Director from SMCC will be on hand to walk them through the process.
Athletics
The Boys and Girls Indoor Track Teams will participate in a Jump Meet at USM in Gorham today from 3:30-5:30 PM.
On Thursday, both Boys and Girls Basketball Teams return to action. The Boys will play at home versus Windham and the girls will play at Westbrook High School.
Music Notes
The Box office for DISNEY'S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL is open. Tickets are $8 for students and seniors, and $10 for adults.Box Office Times: Monday -Friday 6:30 PM-8:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday 10 am-1 PM
All District I vocal students are reminded to attend the rehearsals to prepare for the January 25th festival.

The Debate Team will meet today after school.
Today is the day, Language Students! The fourth annual inter club Jeopardy contest! It starts at 2:00pm sharp in room 113! Get there early so you can have a good seat! See you then~!
THE CARPE NOCTEM WRITER'S GROUP will meet next Tuesday, January 15th in room 122. All are invited.
Freshmen class executive meeting today, Wed. Jan 9. It will be at 2pm in room 220. All freshman are welcome to attend, we'll be discussing Fund raising.
All sophomore class officers need to meet with Ms. Major tomorrow after school in room 121 for a short meeting.
The Equity Committee will reconvene on Wednesday, January 23rd in
Room #233 at 2:10.We are still looking for more members even if you were unable to
attend earlier in the year. Please e-mail me if you have any questions.
WINTER GUARD
Do you love to dance? If so, this may be the group for you! Winter Guard is a group that dances, spins flags, rifles and sabers. Anyone interested may come to the lower café after school today to learn more.
