Students and Staff
Get out your dancing shoes because the WINTER BALL is quickly approaching. The semi-formal dance will be held on January 19th from 7:30-10:30 in the lower cafeteria. Tickets go on sale Monday, January 14th and can be purchased in Ms. Major's room (121) between 7:00-7:25 and after school. All students who are bringing outside visitors need to by their tickets by Wednesday, January 16th.
GUIDANCE
Seniors who are interested in taking a spring semester course at USM or SMCC or students who need additional credit to graduate should be aware that college classes begin January 14.
Scarborough Adult Education registration is Jan. 23 and classes begin Jan 28.
Student should see their guidance counselor asap for more information.

Attention seniors Do your parents need help filling out the Financial Aid Form? If so, remind them that the FAFSA workshop is being sponsored by the guidance department
On Thursday, January 10th at 6:00 p.m. in the SPHS library. The Financial Aid Director from SMCC will be on hand to walk them through the process.
Athletics
The Girls Basketball Teams will host the Scarborough Red Storm today in the Beal Gym - 4:00 First Team, 5:30 JV and 7:00 Varsity game times.
The Hockey Team will face the Westbrook Blue Blazes at the rink located at USM in Gorham. Game time is 8:30 this evening.
The Boys Basketball Teams will travel to Westbrook High School today- 4:00 First Team, 5:30 JV and 7:00 Varsity game times.
Music Notes
The Box office for DISNEY'S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL opens Today. Tickets are $8 for students and seniors, and $10 for adults.
Times: Monday -Friday 6:30 PM-8:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday 10 am-1 PM
All District I vocal students are reminded to attend the rehearsals to prepare for the January 25th festival.

CLUBS/ INTRAMURALS & GROUPS
Riot Reader will meet after school again today to work on the layout. Please come by and see Ms. Price in room 108 when you are available! We'll be folding on Friday the 11th in room 108.
THE CARPE NOCTEM WRITER'S GROUP will meet next Tuesday, January 15th in room 122. All are invited.

Freshmen class executive meeting has been change to tomorrow, Wed. Jan 9, instead of today. It will be at 2pm in room 220. All freshman are welcome to attend, we'll be discussing Fund raising.
All sophomore class officers need to come meet with Ms. Major tomorrow after school in room 121 for a short meeting.
