Today is a Red A Day
RIOT RALLY TODAY @ 1PM!
Students and Staff
Due to the pep rally tomorrow the PATHS STUDENTS will go to first lunch with everyone else and the bus will be here to pick them up at 10:20 and take them to PATHS. Students will be dismissed from PATHS at 12:45 and brought back to the high school for the pep rally.
Students participating in the Musical portion of the Pep Rally should be dismissed to the gym @ 12:30!
Support the Cystic Fibrosis Association and enter your chance of winning great prizes by purchasing raffle tickets before and after school in the main office. Ticket prices are $1 each. Winners will be drawn live at Friday’s Riot Rally!
The Student Judicial Court will meet on Tuesday in room 225 to prepare for the beginning of the first Court session. We will review the disciplinary code, court procedures, and example case studies. Please see Mr. Romanow with any questions.
The yearbook staff will be taking club group photos Tuesday and Wednesday (February 5 and 6) after school in the lower cafe from 2 - 2:30. Club advisors will let their members know which date has been reserved to have their photograph taken.
THANK YOU to all who helped SPHS successfully conduct its math meet on Wednesday. Congratulations to Dorothea Crowley, Jake Viola, and Mike Carter for being top scorers in the meet. Next meet is March 12 at Deering
GUIDANCE
Attention seniors applying to USM.......there is some very important and time sensitive scholarship information in the career center for students that have applied to attend USM this fall. Please be sure to stop by and pick up this important and time sensitive information.
Applications are now available for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Conference in the Guidance Office. This conference is for high school sophomores who have exhibited leadership in their school and community. Applications must be returned to Guidance no later than March 15th.
Juniors who are nominated for the Early College for ME program should return the application form to the guidance office as soon as possible. See Mrs. Tremblay if you need another form or if you have questions.
ATHLETICS
Support your "Red Riot" teams this week-end! Cheer the teams on at the "Riot Rally" this afternoon.
The Girls Basketball Teams will host the McAuley Lions in the Beal Gym today - 4:00 First Team, 5:30 JV and 7:00 Varsity game times.
The Boys Basketball Teams will play at Cheverus High School today - 4:00 First Team, 5:30 JV and 7:00 Varsity game times.
The Boys Swim Team will compete in the Southwestern Championship to be held at Westbrook Jr. High at 5:30 this evening.
On Saturday, the Girls Swim Team will compete at the Southwestern Championship to be held at Westbrook Jr. High at 1:00 PM.
On Saturday, the Hockey Team will play versus Thornton Academy at the Biddeford Ice Arena. Game time is 4:30 PM.
Also on Saturday, both Boys and Girls Indoor Track Teams will participate in the Southwestern Championship to be held at the Portland EXPO. The boys begin at 8:30 AM and the girls at 3:30 PM.
The Cheerleading Squad will compete at Marshwood High School on Saturday afternoon. The competition begins at 2:00 PM.

RIOT SQUAD: the shirts are going fast, this will be your last chance to get them this year. Be prepared for today’s rally and all the great sports action coming up. Pick up your shirt from Ms. Reardon in the lower gym.
HEMA will meet next Monday in the breezeway at 2:00.
All female student-athletes are reminded to R.S.V.P. to Room 229 by the end of the day for next Wednesday's National Girls & Women in Sports Day Breakfast. It is important that you do so as soon as possible, so we can get an accurate count of all attending. Questions see Ms. Curran or Ms. Reardon
Key Club: All members who are going to convention in March need to submit their two medical forms and registration fee no later than Friday, Feb. 8. Yearbook Photo will be taken on Monday, February 4! THANKS
Spanish Club will be having its yearbook picture taken at 2 this coming Wednesday, Feb. 6. All club members please attend! Also, if you are interested in teaching Spanish to kindergartners on Tuesday after school, please come to Room 117 after pictures on Wednesday.
