The Legion of the Flaming Rose™ is pleased to announce the Fist Annual South Portland High School Student Film Festival. Enter and prove that you are the mightiest wielder of celluloid glory, whose art is rivaled in beauty only by the mournful cry of the wolf at night! Pick up rules and entry forms in the Video Production room. The deadline for submission is March 21st. The finalists will be chosen and screened in the auditorium on April 4th. Project Graduation: The next project graduation meeting will take place on 2/13 at 6:30pm instead of 2/11 as published in the Parent Link sent home last week. Please share this change with your parents or adults that you know that participate and volunteer on this committee. A listing of students that ordered a yearbook is hanging in the lower cafe. If you do not see your name listed, you have until Wednesday to order your yearbook from Mrs. York or Mr. Hunter in the Video classroom.

ATHLETICS
The Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball Teams will begin play in the MPA Tournament this week-end. Both teams avoided a prelim game by attaining a high seed and will go straight to the EXPO for the quarter-finals.

CLUBS/ INTRAMURALS & GROUPS
Riot Reader will meet on Monday and Tuesday after school to work on the layout. Stop by 108 to help, and don't forget those articles!
Junior officers - PLEASE come by Ms. Sears room on Monday after school for a very short meeting….
The Chinese Club will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 2:00 in room 111. Yearbook picture will be taken at the beginning. Be there!
The French Club will meet on Wednesday, Feb 13 at 2:00 in room 111.
The Spanish Club will be going out to dinner on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. Please stop by room 117 to put your name on the board so we'll know how many people are coming. We will go to Margarita's again unless people vote for another place (La familia on Brighton Ave., perhaps?)

There will be a History Club meeting on Wednesday the 13th, after school.
