All Juniors and Seniors participating in the Adopt a Home Base Mentoring program should be in attendance at a short meeting on Monday in room 225 with Mr. Romanow at 2:00pm.
The annual library book swap is the week of March 31st. Donate your good used books to the library for the book swap cart, and take books that you want from the cart starting March 31st.
GUIDANCE
College of the Atlantic is offering a summer program focusing on ecology and the culture of Down East Maine. This program will take place at the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine from August 2-14. They are offering a $500 scholarship to one student from South Portland High School. Please see Mrs. King if you'd like to be considered for this program.
Also, please check the Summer Programs File in Guidance for a look at the many summer programs that are offered by colleges and universities across the country.
The U.S. Marine Corps visit to Guidance has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 25th at 9:30 AM. Sergeant Reyes would like to meet with interested juniors and seniors. Passes are available in the Guidance Office.

Central Maine Community College will host an Open House on Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. ~ 1:00 p.m.
Southern Maine Community College will host their Open House on Saturday, April 5, 2008 from 12 ~ 3:30 p.m.
ATHLETICS
There will be a mandatory meeting with Coach Stinson for all boys intending to play football this fall in Room 27 on Monday, March 24th right after school.
The following boys are to report to the baseball locker room on Monday, March 24th at 3:45 for pitcher/catcher practice:
Connor Hasson, Mike Foley, Jon Medici, Chris Gorham, John Carey, Nick Folan, Will Furbush, Kevin Mooney, DJ St. Cyr.
Chris Gorham and Kevin Mooney need to report to the Athletic Office today.
The following girls need to report to the Beal Gym for pitcher/catcher practice on Monday at 2:30:

A reminder that the golf meeting will be held in Room 26 on Monday, March 24th

Anyone interested in attending the SMAA Sportsmanship Conference to be held at Cheverus High School on Tuesday, April 15th should register in the Athletic Office by the end of the day.
Music Notes
Tri-M music honorary will meet after school on Friday in the chorus room. Remember to bring your $15.00 membership fee, if possible.
Clubs and Intramurals
(primal scream) Due to a lack of enthusiasm and overall glee, the deadline for entry into the South Portland High School Film Festival has been pushed back one week. Entries are now due by Friday, March 28th. Traipse over to the Video Production room to pick up entry forms and drop off your films. Please do this. Voe skall garandera sivis.
There will be a History Club meeting on Thursday, March 27th after school. This meeting will determine who the club's "student of the year" will be, so all members please attend.
Thanks to all students and staff who have helped make the last three weeks fun with Dodgeball and Badminton. Today is the last day and it's Dodgeball. As always the weight room will be open next week and stay tuned for more activities to come this spring.
