TODAY IS A RED C DAY

Congratulations to the Riot Crew Robotics team who were Finalists at the Manchester FIRST Robotics Competition on Saturday. The team came in second among 46 teams competing and bowed out only on the last match of the competition. This is our best showing in five years.
The Project Graduation Committee for the Class of '08 would like to thank all of the students who participated in this event . It was a huge success and they're support is greatly appreciated!
GUIDANCE
Any junior interested in the Maine Day program at Bates College should see Mrs. King in the Guidance Office for specific details re: attending.

Early College for ME juniors are reminded to return their permission forms for the March 5 field trip to SMCC to the guidance office as soon as possible.
ATHLETICS
There will be a mandatory meeting for all those interested in playing Boys Lacrosse in the gymnasium on Tuesday, March 4th at 6:30 PM.
There will be an important meeting for all girls intending to play softball in Room 26 on Wednesday, March 5th at 2:00.
There will be a mandatory meeting for all Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior Boys interested in playing Baseball on Wednesday, March 5 in Room 26.
All athletes planning to play a spring sport should check with the Athletic Office to make sure a valid physical and contract are on file.
There will be sign ups and an informative meeting for any girl interested in playing tennis this Spring. It will take place after school in room 211 on Tuesday, March 4th.
Any boy interested in playing tennis this spring, please sign up outside room 211 and come to a Boys Tennis meeting on Wednesday at 2pm in room 211.
Boys Indoor Track - The banquet is Tuesday, March 4, at 6pm, in the SPHS cafeteria. Please return uniforms and raffle tickets to Coach Kahill or Coach Lupien.
Curry Girr and Courtney Perruzzi turned in great performances on Saturday in the 1-meter diving event at the New England Championships. Curry placed 2nd and Courtney placed 8th.
Clubs and Intramurals
Intramurals: Schedule for next week is as follows:
Dodgeball: Monday-Wednesday-Friday
Badminton: Tuesday-Thursday
Both activities run from 2:10-3:30 each day after school. Come on down to the gym and have some fun. Open to all students and staff.
Girls Outdoor Track & Field: There will be a sign-up meeting for all girls interested in joining the Outdoor Track & Field Team on Tuesday, March 11th @ 2 p.m. in Room 126. See Mr. Zinchuk, Ms. Reardon, or Mr. Lane if you have questions.
Come one Come all to South Portland High's first Break Dance battle Ever! Yes, Thats right, SPHS's very own Riot Control break dance club will be sponsoring a battle that will include students from 4 break dance "crews" and will be sure to be entertaining and fun. For $5 at the door your $ will be well spent.

Hold the presses! Big,big change in date for SPIFFY next showing. Because of circumstances beyond our control - and even beyond our comprehension - we will be showing the selection of short movies not during the shortest month but during Maine's longest month: March. New date: Tuesday, March 4, 2:00, in room 216. There is a rumor that viewers will also get a special sneak peek of a brand new local masterpiece!
There will be no HEMA club meeting this week.
The Environmental Club will be starting up again and will meet on Wednesday in Rm. 23 at 2 p.m. All students are invited to attend and help identify projects for this spring.
