Parking Reminder
Everyone is reminded that parking on Mt. View Road is for guest to the school only. All staff and students must park in the Highland Avenue Lot or the large lot adjacent to the stadium. Students that park on Mt. View Road will lose their Junior or Senior Privilege.
STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Elections for Class Officers, Student Senators, and Student Members to the Board of Education will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, May 21 and 22. Speeches will be on the 20th of May.
Petitions may now be picked up in room 225 from Mr. Romanow. They are due no later than Monday, May 19th at 2:00 PM.
All Juniors and Seniors who are Homebase Mentors. Tuesday, May 13th is a mentoring day. See Mr. Romanow in room 225 for materials, guidelines, and homebase assignments.
SENIOR MUST READ’S
YOUR PROJECT GRADUATION PERMISSION SLIP MUST BE RETURNED BY FRIDAY, MAY 23d.
On Monday, May 26th, we are looking for 30 Seniors (15 pairs) to sell balloons, flags and pinwheels before and during the Memorial Day Parade. The time commitment is from 8AM to 11AM. All proceeds will benefit your Project Graduation Celebration! Coffee, Juice and Donuts will be provided.

ATTENTION JUNIORS~ SOON TO BE SENIORS:
Students in the class of 2009 should begin entering their yearbook information online for next year's yearbook. Juniors should go to http://yearbook.highschool.spsd.org and click on the student forms link to vote for superlatives and to enter information that will go beside their senior picture
The deadline is June 8.
GUIDANCE
There will be a College Fair at Cheverus High School on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM in the Keegan Gymnasium. Over 90 colleges have registered for this event. The complete listing can be found at the Cheverus website www.cheverus.org or in the Guidance Office.
NEW SCHOLARSHIP
The Peter H. Debevoise Memorial Scholarship is now available in the Scholarship Box. The deadline for submission is TODAY. Interviews will be scheduled at a later date for finalists.
ATTENTION JUNIORS
If you have an interest in attending college in England, the following program will be of assistance. May 22 at Scarborough High School from 6:30-8:00 p.m. representatives from colleges in the U.K.For more information, see Mrs. Sturm in Guidance.
Music Notes
All State Vocal students will rehearse today after school with Ms. Hosic @ 2 PM
ATHLETICS
JV Baseball will travel to Windham High School today. Game time is 4:00 PM.
Boys Varsity and JV Lacrosse will play at Marshwood High School this afternoon. The varsity game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 with the JV's to follow.
Girls Varsity and JV Lacrosse will host the Westbrook Blue Blazes at home on the stadium field. The JV's will play at 4:30 PM and the Varsity at 6:00 PM.
Varsity and JV Softball will play at Deering High School today. Both games will be played at 4:00 PM.
Boys and Girls Tennis will play versus the Deering Rams today. The boys are away and the girls are at home. Both matches begin at 3:30.
Congratulations to the boys track team for its 6th place finish in the Westbrook Relays on Friday night. The Sprint Medley relay of Brian Arsenault, Joe Michaud, Brandon Emerson, and Ian Golder, and the 300m hurdle relay of Tony Haeuser, Brandon Emerson, JC Esquibel, and Matt Clement were first place finishers.
Boys Track Practice starts at 2:15 today.
CLUBS AND INTRAMURALS
Attention Keyclubbers: A reminder that our Key Club Banquet will be held this evening from 6PM-7:30PM in the library. All members are encouraged to attend. Family and friends are welcome to come. Refreshments will be served before and after the ceremony. Hope to see you all there!
The Environmental Club will meet tomorrow (Tuesday) after school in the greenhouse to continue preparing for the upcoming plant sale.
Come to the Auditorium at 7PM on Tuesday, May 20th, to see the premiere of one of the most over-hyped films of the year. Barbatus, a 40-minute long student-made film, will be making its debut, and all are welcome to bear witness to its glory. Look for the trailer on the You Tubes. Weep not, love-child, for the night will be ablaze with magic and ecstasy.
