Attention Class of 2018 Students
As a junior, are you worried that you may someday go to college to prepare for a career that may not be a good match for you? The goal of our Senior Internship program is to better prepare students for work, college, and citizenship. The program provides seniors with an opportunity to merge their various career interests with their academic lives here at school by giving them an insight into what their possible career choice may be like before graduating from South Portland High School. Students accepted into the program must have a reliable form of transportation and are required to complete a detailed weekly log of their internship experiences as well as deliver a presentation which highlights the knowledge and skills they have acquired at the completion of their internship experience. Juniors who are interested in applying for our Senior Internship program should stop by the Guidance Office to pick up a copy of the application form. Completed application forms and all supporting materials are due back to Mrs. King by May 26.
