Honors Math Summer Assignments
Summer assignments are required by the majority of honors level math courses at South Portland High School. During the summer, students should complete the assignment for the course they will be enrolled in during the 2017-2018 school year. If you are entering Honors Math II, Honors Math III, Honors Precalculus, or AP Calculus in the fall of 2017 you are required to complete the summer assignment. The summer assignment is posted on the South Portland High School website (https://goo.gl/Cd2pwO).
All assignments will be collected the first day of class in September. You may print out the summer assignment or complete the work on separate sheets of paper. Many of the summer assignments have QR codes linked to Khan Academy videos in case you need assistance when completing the work. A follow-up assessment on this foundational knowledge will be administered within the first two weeks of school.
Your math teacher will be available to assist and answer questions when you return to school in September
Did you know you can meet a graduation requirement by taking a blended course this summer?
Career and College Exploration or Health
These courses are open to students as a blended course to fulfill the graduation requirement.
Blended courses (also known as hybrid or mixed-mode courses) are classes where a portion of the traditional face-to-face instruction is replaced by web-based online learning.
Career & College Exploration —this career explorations course is a graduation requirement for all SPHS students.
Health – This course is a graduation requirement for all SPHS students.
The registration form can be found on the school website, in the Main Office, and in Guidance.
Lost and Found
The Lost and Found is located outside of the main office. This is the final time that lost and found will be made available (this school year) for you to check. After June 21st (The last student day) all items will be donated.
