RIOT NATION HEADLINES

The Riot Rack

The Riot Rack is a great resource for all SPHS students.  The Riot Rack provides clothing, toiletries, and food for any student who needs it.  If you are a student in need or if you have a friend who may need to access the Riot Rack, please talk to any adult in the building.  All teachers have keys to get into the Riot Rack and will find a time to take you or your friend.

If you want to make a donation to the Riot Rack you can do so by bringing items into the main office or to Mrs. Helmke.  Some of the items that are currently needed include:

– Leggings for girls

– Long sleeve t shirts for boys

– Cereal

– Ramen Noodles

– White rice

– Bread

– Milk & eggs (we do have a refrigerator!)

– Mac N Cheese (Kraft or Annies are the brands that go, for some reason others do not.)

SAT Testing

Students who have registered to take the SAT here at the high school tomorrow are reminded to arrive between 7 – 7:45 AM.  All test takers are required to have both their printed SAT admission ticket and a current photo ID (this year’s school ID, driver’s license, Passport, or State ID).  Failure to bring both of these items will mean that you will not allowed to take part in testing.  Please be sure to bring several #2 pencils and your calculator as well as a snack and beverage to have during your two breaks.  Students are encouraged to leave their cell phones and other electronic devices in their vehicle.  Those that do not will be required to give them to their testing room proctor before testing begins.
